Broaches Get up 5 Times the Life

 

 

Broaching is typically a costly operation. Broaches are expensive to purchase and to sharpen. Set up of broaching machines is time consuming and costly, especially in the aircraft industry. We have seen three to five times the life on these expensive tools. That means two to four fewer set ups, and two to four fewer sharpenings. Another thing we have found is that less material needs to be removed to sharpen the broach. This fact alone doubles the life of the broach.
